Alana Karen is an award-winning tech leader, author, and speaker. With over 23 years at Google, she built teams to develop and scale products like Search, Ads, Fiber, and Google Grants, impacting billions of users worldwide.
Passionate about empowering others, Alana has spoken at numerous conferences on technology, leadership, DEI, talent, and innovation.
Her best-selling book, "Adventures of Women in Tech: How We Got Here and Why We Stay," has received awards and been praised for its insightful stories. A second edition will be released in 2025, and a follow-up workbook was released in Spring 2022.
She lives with her family in the San Francisco Bay Area.
