So it’s July

I guess, despite everything, time is passing quickly? Because I thought I posted on this blog not too long ago, and it’s been monthssssss. Now I know my readership ain’t twiddling their fingers, but still… Sorry y’all.

Long story short: I’ve been promoting the book and working on my next book. I also traveled with my family and fostered a kitten on top of my normal work day. It’s been kinda busy. Things I’ve noticed about this time period:

  • Promoting a book is hard work. Despite the numerous events I do, book sales can be really slow if I don’t hustle. It’s definitely not a business for those with low confidence :)

  • When I join calls/events with other authors, I don’t hear any secret tricks to promoting a book. Just a ton of hard work finding your niche and repeatedly promoting to that audience.

  • Meanwhile I love being back to writing a book (the workbook follow-up to Adventures). This time I’ve partnered with a small dream co-author/contributors team, and I love having the group feel to this project.

  • I traveled to Colorado and Oregon, and it was fun and beautiful, and I’m super glad to be home. I re-discovered that I can be slightly social again, but then I have to nap for hours. Go introversion!

  • Fostering a kitten was a real highlight. 10/10. It was hard to say goodbye, but seeing the kitten previously known as Snoop thriving in his new home? 20/10.

Next post will hopefully be more news about the upcoming workbook. Stay tuned!

Snoop wondered where the blog post was too.
